3 ripe bananas, mashed 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted 1 teaspoon baking soda Pinch of salt 3/4 cup granulated sugar
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
Add the mashed bananas to the wet ingredients and mix well. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
If desired, fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips into the batter.
Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
